Can you show me any property that is on the market?

Yes! Hage Real Estate agents are members of the Multiple Listing Service (MLS), meaning we can show you virtually any property in the area, regardless of which agency the property is listed with.

How much does it cost to have a Buyer’s Agent?

Real estate fees are typically paid for by the seller. Our commitment to you is time and energy. We appreciate your loyalty and referrals.

How many properties will I look at?

As many as it takes. The average buyer looks at 5-10 properties before finding one that meets their needs and wants.

Do I need money to make an offer?

While a number of lenders are offering attractive incentives to purchase, there are certain out of pocket expenses that are unavoidable. We recommend a good faith deposit with your offer. Once your offer is accepted, you will be responsible for home inspection fees and appraisal fees if applicable. Closing costs and down payment amounts may vary depending on the loan you select.

How long before I can move in?

A typical closing takes anywhere from 30-90 days depending on the type of financing you have selected.  Unless you have negotiated otherwise, you will receive the keys to the home at the closing.

I already own a home, and I need to sell that first. How does this work?

It’s tricky, but it works! You can pursue the purchase of another home contingent upon the sale of your existing home. Some buyers know that it will not be easy to find what they are looking for, so they start their new home search before putting their home on the market. Some buyers do it exactly the opposite. If they have a unique home that may take some time to sell, they may list their home first, and then search for a new home once they have a buyer for their current home. Each situation is different, and our agents will guide you towards the best course of action for your circumstance. Closings are typically coordinated to happen on the same day so you aren’t left without a roof over your head.

How much can I afford?

Before previewing homes, you should get in touch with a lender to see what your affordability is. A bank can tell you what you qualify for, but only you know what you can truly afford. Think in terms of monthly payments and what you are comfortable with. Many buyers qualify for far more than they are comfortable paying in a monthly mortgage payment. As you start your search, you will want to be prepared with a prequalification letter in hand, so when the time comes to make your offer you are ready!

What if I find a house For Sale by Owner?

Just because a seller has chosen to sell their home without an agent, doesn’t mean you have to purchase a home without an agent. Many times our agents are able to make arrangements for a tour and still represent you for the purchase, negotiating and advocating for you along the way. There are many variables that may have led the homeowner to not list their home with an agent, so don’t be shy about having us contact them on your behalf to arrange for a viewing.
